The Community Health & Nutrition Project Coordinator will manage the Covalima Community Health & Nutrition project which is a component of the Covalima District program. The position will manage the health team in Oecusse district, establish program activities to meet stated objectives of the project, establish data collection and monitoring systems, and conduct regular project reporting. The position will work closely with the livelihoods teams on integrating food security activities and strategies with the community based nutrition project.
Key requirements:
· Experience developing, implementing and managing community based nutrition and health promotion projects
· Experience in staff mentoring and training
· Knowledge of biostatistics and/or statistical packages such as EPI info, access and SPSS
· Experience in monitoring of nutrition or health promotion projects
· Experience in grassroots community consultation and participatory assessments
· Experience promoting a positive approach to gender in a development context
· High level written and verbal English language skills
· Experience in implementing a positive deviance/hearth approach to community nutrition (desirable)
· A high level of Tetun or Indonesian language (desirable)
· Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in Public Health or Nutrition (Masters degree desirable)
This is a 9 month, full time contract. Salary AUS$46,000 plus benefits.
