scholarship programme The Belgian Embassy would be very grateful if the State Secretariat could
transmit this information to the interested and qualified applicants and requests them
1. to read the instructions very carefully especially pages 18 to 25.
2. to respect the new dates of the deadlines of the duly completed and filled
application forms to arrive at the indicated addresses in Belgium.
Please note that due to the different dates of the deadlines of the courses and
trainings, the CUD, the IDPM and the V.L.I.R. in Belgium should receive directly from the
candidates the completed application forms for the courses and training programmes based on the
postmark of at the latest,
- before January 31, 2006 (CUD - Stage de Formation à l’Usage des Technologies de
l’Information etc.)
- before February 15, 2006 (CUD International Courses and Training Programmes).
- before February 1, 2006 (VLIR International Courses Programme and International
Training Programme).
In order to avoid being late for the deadline, please let the candidates first send the
duly filled and completed original application form directly
to Belgium, before (1) they proceed to obtain an official authorisation (endorsement)
from your office and before (2) they send one copy of the scholarship application form only
to the Embassy of Belgium for the Embassy files.
Please note that incomplete and late application files will not be considered.

Within the programme for international courses and training programmes 2006-2007, CIUF grants 143 scholarships for participation into the courses and 70 for participation into the training programmes.
You will find on this site a
list of international courses and training programmes for which there is a possibility of scholarship and the modalities of introduction of an application file as well as the rules of selection. These rules define the conformity of the files and therefore are very important. Practical information about Belgium is also available on this site. The Bologna reformEuropean higher and university education has been subject, for several years, to an important reform, aiming at improved harmonization of student curricula within the European Union, with a view to strengthening the mobility of the European citizens.
This reform, the so-called Bologna reform, by the name of the Italian city where was made the decision of the member states of the European Union to proceed to this reform, came into effect in Belgium in September, 2004.
It will also have an influence on the status of the international courses proposed by C.I.U.F ., from the academic year 2007-2008 on.
CIUF will proceed in a near future to elaborate an information strategy of their partner institutions in developing countries, as well as of the target public for the international courses, in order to maximize the dissemination of indications concerning the effects of the Bologna reform on the university and post-university studies of the nationals of developing countries.
