JOB VACANCY
Save the Children (SCUK) is a leading international
NGO working to create a better world for children. We
provide emergency relief and implement education,
health and child protection programmes. We are seeking
highly motivated, dynamic and experienced people for
the following positions to be based in Maluku :
PROGRAMME POST
1. PROJECT MANAGER (Code: PM – AMB , 1 post)
Responsible to guide, control, monitor and evaluate
complex projects including implementation, reporting,
human resources, finances and logistics for those
projects. Post holder also need to build
relationships with local key players related to the
projects (local community leaders, local government
and other agencies), and advocate to high-level
stakeholders, develop implementation and advocacy
partnerships with local organizations, develop
progress reports for the project for donors and the
Programme Manager and develop proposals for new
projects for the area
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree in relevant fields, preferably
Master’s
• Has 3 years experience in managing finances, office
operations and supervising staff
• Has experience with coordinating projects,
preferably with international NGOs
2. SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER (Code: SPO – AMB, 2 post)
The post holder will undertake participatory research
with children, develop, plan, monitor and evaluate the
implementation of activities in Maluku including
reporting, operational budget planning, providing
technical, management support and capacity building to
programme staff and key stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
• University Degree (S1) in relevant fields
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing
projects in community and child-focused activities
• Have experience in overall project management
3. PROJECT OFFICER (Code: PO – AMB, 2 post)
The post holder will be responsible to develop and
implement education and child protection initiatives
to improve children’s participation & access to
quality basic education, be involved in child led
participatory research, and develop relationships with
stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree in related disciplines
• Minimum of 2 years of proven relevant experience in
elementary education programmes with National or
international NGOs
• Experience of pedagogy at primary level, active
teaching and learning processes, and teachers training
GENERAL REQUIREMENT FOR PROGRAMME STAFF ( PM, SPO, PO)
• Have experience in developing, maintaining and
improving working relationship with local government
and other NGOs
• Well developed communication, report-writing skills
and strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Proven ability to work independently with limited
supervision and support
• Excellent written language skills in English
SUPPORT STAFF
1. OFFICE MANAGER (Code: OM – AMB, 1 post)
The post holder will establish and manage office
procedure in areas of administration, logistics and
Human Resources in the field, develop related budgets,
manage support staff and security overview and
maintain good relationships with relevant local
government offices, community, INGOs, Local NGOs and
UN agencies
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business
Administration
• At least 3 years of experience in similar area with
minimum 2 years in managerial position
2. SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER (Code: SFO - AMB, 1 post)
The post holder will be responsible to provide support
in the finances and accounts that relate to Save the
Children programme activities, prepare budgets,
organize payroll, and finance documentation to support
the continuity of projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
• University degree in a finance/ accounting
discipline
• Proven experience as finance officer for 2 years
• Demonstrated strong computer skills and abilities,
particularly in spreadsheets. Knowledge of SUN
accounting packages is a must.
3. FIELD ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT (code: FAA – AMB, 1
post)
• The post holder will provide support in the areas of
administration and logistics for the efficient running
of the office
REQUIREMENTS:
• University degree in a relevant social science
discipline
• At least 2 years proven experience as administration
officer or finance
• Demonstrated strong computer skills and abilities,
particularly in spreadsheets.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT FOR SUPPORT STAFF ( OM, SFO, FAA):
• Proven ability to work independently with limited
supervision and support
• Good written language skills in English
