PROJECT MANAGER - TIMOR LESTE
Capacity Building Project
THE LEPROSY MISSION is the leading international Christian charity providing treatment, care and rehabilitation for people and communities affected by leprosy. As well as providing medical and social services, the Mission also facilitates the development process in communities across 28 countries in Africa and Asia.
The role: We require an experienced project manager to manage the Capacity Building Project of the National Leprosy Programme in Timor Leste. Working with the Ministry of Health, WHO and other NGO’s you will manage the implementation, administration and finance of the project.
Requirements: You must have previous experience in project management within a development context, preferably in South East Asia, with at least 2-3 years experience in leprosy control programmes, prevention of disability and physical rehabilitation in both community and hospital settings. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be fluent in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Indonesian or Portuguese would be an advantage.
Additionally you will be required to personally support the Christian ethos, values and objectives of the organisation.
The initial contract will be for 2 years with a period of 2 months home leave at the end of the contract. We will provide a local living allowance, accommodation, flights and insurance.
