Oxfam GB is an international NGO working in over 70 countries to address poverty and suffering through supporting development, humanitarian and advocacy interventions. In Indonesia, we currently work to improve the livelihoods of the poor, build participation in governance and save lives by delivering humanitarian assistance. All of our work promotes gender equality.

Oxfam GB in Indonesia is seeking experienced and highly motivated individuals for its country programmes. You should have strong bi-lingual (Indonesian-English) communication skills, computer literacy, willingness to travel extensively, ability to learn and work both independently and as part of a team, as well as readiness to make use of skill building opportunities.

Media Advocacy and Communications Manager
Jakarta based

As Media Advocacy and Communications Manager, you will manage programming within the Indonesia’ country programmes and ensure effective links are maintained into the organisations Global campaigns. To ensure that well informed advocacy is conducted to raise issues of concern to national media whilst providing support to Area Offices in conducting more localised campaigns.

You will need to have substantial knowledge, skills and experience in campaigning on issues for social change; high level of creativity, flexibility, ability to listen and support. To also be sensitive and responsive to any given context. You need to have substantial experience of working with the media and a good understanding of messaging and public positioning.

Media Advocacy Officer
Jakarta based

As Media Advocacy Officer you’ll be responsible to support programmes which are in line with OGB Indonesia’s advocacy strategy and OGB ’s global campaigning agenda. 

You will need an education to a degree level in Communication/Media Studies, Economics, Development Studies, or Policy Studies. With at least 5 years experiences in non-government development organization with responsibility in research, communication or lobbying. Proven experience in developing advocacy position paper on globalization, trade and development aid will be an advantage.

Good Governance and Advocacy Advisor
Jakarta based

As Good Governance and Advocacy Advisor you’ll be responsible to conduct research, monitoring and evaluation into Oxfam’s Aim 4 work across Indonesia, to understand and share what is most effective. Coordinate strategies, plans and activities with the other Aim 4 Advisors in Oxfam, including the East Asia region and Oxford. This will ensure that stated objectives will be achieved in the most effective way.

You will need at least 5 years experiences in non-government development organization with responsibility in providing strategic inputs and guidance at different level. Experience of advocacy and strong ability to communicate well:  listening and questioning skills, creative thinking and problem solving.

Area Programme Manager - Java
Jakarta based

As the Area Programme Manager, you will be responsible to represent and manage Oxfam GB’s programmes in Java as well as to implement the strategic changes in the programme.

You will need at least 3 years’ proven experience of programme or complex management including managing budgets, staff and funding of the programme. This is to include excellent people management skills, with a good understanding of team development and proven financial management skills.

Programme Manager - Building Opportunity (PM-BO)
Makassar based

As Programme Manager you will oversee and manage day to day operation of the project, ensuring that all commitments are met and project implementation adheres to set goals and objectives, partners deliver and donor requirements are met. 

You will need an education degree in agriculture, development studies or other discipline which provides an understanding of livelihood issues in developing countries. You need to have minimum of 5 years relevant experience including project management, of working within the livelihoods sector within INGOs. Community development skills, including participatory community assessment and planning techniques, with skills in capacity building of communities and experience of organizing groups/community-based structures is a must.

Programme Officer (PO-BO)
Makassar based

You will responsible to manage partnership for project implementation in line with the set objectives and focus area of work, monitor and evaluate the project implementation, collate reports from partners and submit it to PM and provide technical support to partners as required, representing Oxfam on related issues for effective project implementation.

You will need an education to a degree level in relevant field. Proving experiences (min. of 3 years) on livelihood issues both macro and micro level, and working with other non-government organisations, government institutions and other related sectors. Have a strong programmatic and analytical skill, proven capacity in managing partnership programme; and have a good understanding on management issue related to programming such as budgeting, monitoring and evaluation.

Finance Manager
Makassar based

As Finance Manager you will manage the overall financial operation and documentation of the area Programme Office with the assistance of relevant finance and Admin staff. You will be responsible for the coordination on annual budgeting process at an area office level and on supporting programme/finance staff with programme related budget submission.

You’ll need 3 years proven experiences in Financial and Budget Management/Office management.
Ability to work with a minimum supervision, flexibility and capacity to work under pressure, with a high level of motivation and initiative.

Finance Officer
Makassar based

As Finance Officer you will have overall responsibility for the implementation of financial systems and control, oversee the finance operations, prepare financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. This will include assist with the technical aspect of financial management with partners

You’ll need three years experience of proven accounting experience; good communication skills in both English and Indonesian (written and verbal); high level of numeracy and financial reporting skills.
