District Team Leader - (Covalima district - Timor Leste)
The District Team Leader (DTL) is a senior position responsible for
management of the Community Health, Food Security, Community Based
Disaster Management and Sustainable Livelihoods programs in the Covalima
district. The DTL will line manage the international Health and
Nutrition Coordinator and with the support of a counterpart national
Team Leader, manage approximately twenty national staff. They will work
closely with three international technical coordinators based in Dili:
Community Health and Nutrition; Sustainable Livelihoods and Food
Security; and, Water Supply and Sanitation. The DTL will work closely
with the Deputy Program Manager on the overall program development
including integrating advocacy, gender and other program activities.
Key requirements:
* Experience working in community development programs - health
and/or livelihoods experience a distinct advantage
* Considerable experience in program management
* Demonstrated high level skill and ability in community
participatory and consultation methods
* Proven experience in developing and conducting training programs
with national NGOs and community groups
* Ability to integrate gender throughout program actvities
* Experience leading a multi disciplinary and multi cultural team
* Working knowledge of Tetum or Bahasa Indonesian (highly
desirable)
