You will be the main focal point for disaster preparedness and risk reduction activities of Oxfam in the concerned field location. You will be responsible for coordinating the process of vulnerability and hazards assessments in designated areas and facilitating capacity building activities for local government authorities, local NGO partners on disaster risk reduction and preparedness. As such, you are expected to manage activities aiming towards influencing the local government or local authorities, as primary duty bearer, to build disaster mitigation aspects into poverty reduction programmes.

Skill and Competence
- Minimum of two years experience with international agencies in implementing and managing humanitarian responses, including experience of building local capacities to assess, design and manage programme
- University Education in Management, Humanitarian or Development related field of study.
- Good understanding of relief and development issues, preferably in the context of complex emergency situation with experience of or ability to work directly with local NGOs and communities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work sensitively with people from various cultural and social backgrounds.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in working in multi-sectoral programme and ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia.
