The Peter Coates Postgraduate Scholarship in Ethnopharmacology
Available for a suitable candidate to commence PhD studies in 2007 in the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Sydney and Centre for Research and Education on Ageing at Concord Hospital, Sydney; this project will investigate the contribution of ethnic differences to inter-individual variation in drug response; applicants should have an H1 or H21 in a health sciences related field such as pharmacy and medical sciences; $25,000 pa; up to 3 years.

PhD Scholarship In Choice Analysis
Available for a suitably qualified candidate with a good honours or masters degree to undertake research studies leading to a PhD in transport studies at the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies at the University of Sydney; in the broad area of discrete choice analysis with a focus on the integration of advanced choice models, experimental design, attribute processing and group decision making; $25,000 pa; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

PhD Scholarship in Tumour Biology
Available for 2007 in the tumour biology laboratory at the Kolling Institute of Medical Research; the project will investigate the mechanisms of action of a tumour suppressor protein in breast cancer cells; $31,422 pa; up to 12 months in the first instance with a possible extension for up to a further 2 years; University fees for international students will not be covered by the scholarship.
